Experience a special kundalini yoga class that emphasizes the basics so you can feel confident in future classes and for practice at home. Wonderful for curious beginners as well as those who are more experienced, but would like some reinforcement on the fundamentals of this deep and powerful work.
Expect a full kundalini yoga class that flows at a slower pace to allow for instruction on:

*Basic breathing technique
*Correct mantra pronunciation, focus, and projection
*Explanation of commonly used terms
*Mindfulness in stillness and movement
*Progressive deep relaxation
*Basics of creative meditation, including options for comfortable sitting.
*Focusing and training the mind

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini yoga is a spiritual practice offering many tools and techniques that allow us to access stillness and peace in class together and in our daily lives. The practice includes mantra, breathwork, rhythmic movement, deep relaxation, and meditation to bring about balance and harmony in body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Kundalini yoga is powerful and efficient… sometimes three minutes is all it takes to rebalance and uplift yourself! Longer classes and workshops allow for deep release, healing, community support, and inspiration.

About the Facilitator:

Bij is a certified kundalini yoga teacher, in practice since 2012, who is passionate about her role in facilitating experiences of personal, social, and environmental healing. She is committed to awakening this healing in others by holding space for direct experiences of transcendent peace and by sharing the knowledge she has accumulated through her training, life experiences, and continuing education. In addition to her yogic pursuits, she is a mother of two kids and a puppy, a singer/songwriter, a permaculture designer, a reiki practitioner, and a community organizer. She deeply loves the Earth and believes that yoga offers powerful tools to help us rise above inner and outer conflicts and create a healthy, harmonious future for all.
