Rebecca Morton


Rebecca Morton is the founder of The Compassionate Yogi, which specializes in yoga for chronic pain, back pain, and post-physical therapy as well as leads yoga for those recovering post-surgery, organ transplant, ataxia and other physical situations that hinder movement. 

Rebecca began her yoga journey over 20 years ago taking daily classes in New York City that eventually grew into a meaningful, dedicated practice in 2013. This lead her into yoga teacher training at the Dallas Yoga Center to earn her 200 RYT certification. Upon graduation, Rebecca started leading yoga classes at the Perot Museum of Science and Nature, at the Crow Collection of Asian Art gallery as well as at local yoga studios around Dallas, TX.  Rebecca has completed another 200 hours of yoga training at Sol Yoga in Frederick, MD and is on her way to achieving her 500 hour level teacher certification. Rebecca is also a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor and teaches weekly classes at Yogamour in Frederick. Rebecca has recently started Yoga for Equestrians – leading yoga on horseback workshops to create a deeper equine/rider connection.
