Jen has been teaching Yoga and meditation in Frederick since moving here from Northern Virginia in 2017. She has been practicing Yoga for over 40 years and has been a dedicated teacher since 2010. Jen is a 500 hour certified Yoga Acharya, or Master Yoga Instructor, having received her 200 hour RYT and 500 hour RYT Hatha Yoga certifications through the International Sivananda Yoga Organization. She is also certified to teach the beautiful practices of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga and is a certified Thai massage specialist. Jen received her certification to teach Trauma-Informed Yoga in 2016 and can teach populations suffering from various forms of trauma, including PTSD. She has worked with cancer patients through Life With Cancer at Loudoun Inova Hospital, and she had 3 years therapeutic experience working with chiropractic patients in a No. Virginia chiropractic clinic.
Jen ran her own studio in Leesburg, Virginia for 6 years and has created and taught several workshops including: Embracing the Feminine Divine, The Mantra of Menopause, and Introduction to Meditation. She has a love for teaching yoga to people dealing with anxiety and stress by learning to connect the mind, body and spirit in a wholistic gentle practice that everyone can do. Her passion is to make Yoga accessible to everyone, no matter what age, physical or mental condition, or walk of life. Coming from a musical background, Jen also loves to sing and play flute in her classes- giving her students a whole ‘experience’. Her classes are fun and interesting, and she always makes sure that her students are safe and comfortable.
