Yoga is a physical, mental, and energetic practice that traces its origins over thousands of years to ancient India. It’s an increasingly popular activity in the United States due to its combination of embodied movement, breath connection and mindfulness. The multidimensional benefits of yoga and its accessibility to all fitness levels make it an ideal practice for just about anybody. A regular yoga practice, as evidenced in medical research, can: increase your flexibility, muscle strength and tone, energy and vitality, support your health, reduce stress, alleviate pain and so much more. Luna Yoga is a Vinyasa studio (literally translated from Sanskrit as ‘connection’), which means that our classes include poses that flow seamlessly and rhythmically, delivering a strengthening, whole-body practice with deep release. Our alignment-focused approach ensures a safe but enlivening adventure for everyone. Classes are labeled to help you select the perfect class for you. All Levels classes are perfect for beginner to intermediate students, or those returning to the mat after a time away. Active Flow classes are intermediate; options are offered to increase or decrease the challenge to suit your practice. Power Yoga classes are active flows with options for increasing the challenge of your practice. If a yoga class is listed as ‘hot,’ the classroom is kept at approximately 80-90 degrees to allow your muscles to relax and open as well as to allow for greater detoxification. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

Sink into a nourishing, nurturing practice Relax and Restore Yoga. You will be supported by blankets, pillows and bolsters in relaxing poses as your instructor guides you into deep states of meditation. Relax and Restore Yoga is a wonderful way to incorporate Self Care into your routine. In Reiki and Restore Yoga, your Reiki practitioner instructor will also offer the gentle healing energy of Reiki through light physical contact. All levels are encouraged and welcomed to attend. Yin yoga is a passive style of practice that targets the connective tissues such as the tendons, ligaments, bones and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of yoga practice (that targets the muscles of the body). We will learn to be still in a pose and stay for a while to create space in the body. These long gentle stretches promote better circulation as well as flexibility in otherwise inflexible areas of the body. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

Designed to both nurture and challenge your body, Luna Yoga’s Prenatal Yoga can help to soothe your aches and pains, help to reduce stress, teach you to relax and help prepare you for childbirth and motherhood. You’ll benefit from much-needed relaxation, while strengthening and lengthening the muscles that support you and your baby during pregnancy and labor. Focusing on breath awareness, meditation and movement, Prenatal yoga gives women the opportunity to deepen their connection with their bodies, babies and other pregnant women in the community.

Kundalini Yoga is a healing art and science that stretches and strengthens the body, clears the mind, and uplifts the spirit. Come discover an ancient treasure chest of tools to help you navigate the challenges of life with self-assurance. You will release old stress, tension and relax into the peace of who you truly are. Pilates is an innovative and safe system of exercise that can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. It teaches how to access and utilize our core strength and stability, encourages body awareness and good posture, improves stamina and economy of motion, and can even help alleviate pain, including back pain. Pilates Mat is taught in the traditional, classical method designed by J. H. Pilates: a proscribed sequence of exercises taught by Power Pilates certified instructors. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

Beginner Pilates Mat classes are open to beginners, Intermediate is open to those with a minimum of 10 Beginner or Pilates Equipment classes taken.

Beginner Pilates Mat classes are open to everyone, Intermediate is open to those with a minimum of 10 Beginner Mat or 5 Beginner Pilates Equipment classes taken. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

Pilates Total Fitness is a complete workout from the core out: 30 minutes of Pilates Mat followed by strength­ building exercises utilizing light hand weights, magic circle or resistance bands. Recommended for Intermediate students with a minimum of 10 Beginning Pilates classes taken. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

In Pilates Equipment classes, up to three students utilize all of the Pilates apparatus as well as Pilates Mat work under the instruction and guidance of your instructor. Beginners are welcome to join Beginner Pilates Equipment classes but you must preregister to reserve your spot. If you have a specific physical condition or area of concern, please contact us in advance for guidance. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older. If you are asked to leave a class for any reason, a refund will not be issued.

Prenatal yoga is for women of all fitness levels; however, we would like all mama’s-to-be to speak with their doctors before beginning their yoga practice. Class participants for all classes must be 15 years of age or older.

Support your specific needs and schedule under the supervision of one of the Shala’s highly trained Power Pilates instructors. Private and Semi­Private Sessions are available for Pilates Equipment for up to 3 students. For small groups larger than 3 students, we recommend Pilates mat or Pilates Total Fitness.
